First blog task

1) Why did you choose A Level Media Studies?
I chose A Media Studies because I enjoyed doing it in year 11, also I really enjoy the practical side of Media studies, such as Photoshop and premiere.

2) Did you take GCSE Media Studies (either here at Greenford or a different school)?
Yes

3) If you answered yes to Q2, what grade did you achieve in GCSE Media? What coursework tasks did you complete? What would you say your strengths and weaknesses were in GCSE Media?
I got a grade C overall. I completed all the media course work tasks, apart from the music video. I think my strength was the practical work such as, video and photo editing. And I think my weakness was organisation, and getting my work done on time.

4) What grade do you hope to achieve in A Level Media?
A/A*

5) What are your current thoughts about your next steps after A Levels - university, apprenticeship, work?
Study the practical side of media, hopefully video editing at a good university. And hopefully get a job withing video editing.

6) What do you think the biggest media story of 2017 has been and why?
The most recent hurricanes and flooding's in America as it will have the most direct impact on a very large population of the country, where people have lost their homes and loved ones.

7) What media sources do you use to find out about news and current affairs?
Usually social media's or youtube videos.

8) What was the last film you watched?

Power

10) How many hours do you spend online in an average day? Is this too little, too much or about right? Why?
On a school day about 4-5. I think it's too much since I'im in 6th form, therefore I'm planning to cut down on how much time I spend online (Unless it's 6th form/revision related)
